Whether boring or exciting, everyone has a story to tell. It doesn't matter who or what I'm shooting, I'm capturing their story. Well, here's the story of the woman behind the lens--
I have always had an interest in photography but came to the realization while at Purdue that I could actually make it my major and possibly a successful career. To help pay for my education and get my feet wet in weddings, during the summer, I was hired by one of the top wedding videographers in the US. The owner, Gary, became a mentor and friend of mine that encouraged me in different areas of life but the most influential was entrepreneurship. He flipped on the light switch in my brain that started churning the ideas for Creative Edge Photography. Upon graduating Purdue, I had 2 internships, shot dozens of weddings and portraits, worked as a newspaper photojournalist, been published several times, had work in the University President's home and had a two-year running photography business. Life was good. Since that time, I've dove even deeper into the photo biz and loved every minute of it. I've worked for Sports Illustrated, Cedar Point Amusement Park, Best Western Hotels and Lafayette Leadership. I'm a board member of Professional Photographers of Indiana. I'm the official photographer for the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir and the Chesterton High School Choir Department. My newest pursuit is marrying formal photography with "off-the-wall art".
